LINEAGE: The teachings we provide are directly connected to the Ashtanga Yoga Lineage. David Williams was a student of Pattabhi Jois in India and was the first to bring Ashtanga Yoga to the states. Over 35 years ago, as one of David’s first students, Jonny began to practice. He then went on to become the Midwest’s leading voice in Ashtanga/Vinyasa Yoga and a true pioneer for the shift in the Vinyasa culture nationally.

 

TEACHING SKILLS: Many graduates can attest that they actually leave our 200 hour course with the CONFIDENCE TO TEACH! We regularly host students who have taken a 200 hour elsewhere and are retaking the course with us because of this reputation.

 

RICHNESS: Our program provides a wealth of knowledge both intellectual and emotional. Our curriculum framework touches on practice, study, philosophy & life skills that extend far beyond the yoga mat. We are committed to providing you with both the intellectual understanding of the principles of teaching yoga and the practical tools to really share the ancient practice. CONTINUING EDUCATION: Our feedback process with senior teachers is always available after graduation so that teachers may continue to grow exponentially throughout their teaching careers! Jonny Kest regularly hosts retreats throughout the US and Europe.
